(Knoxville, TN) Today Indivisible East Tennessee announced their endorsement of Renee Hoyos for the U.S. House of Representatives from Tennessee’s Second Congressional District. Hoyos received more than 96% of votes cast in the balloting.
In supporting her candidacy, the group stated, “Ms. Hoyos provided well informed, inclusive responses, including consultation from economists and other professional advisors. We found her transparency refreshing; when questions or topics were unclear, Renee responded with questions for clarifications and stipulations with honesty in mind, not to sidestep the issues. She stays committed and focused to the four main areas: healthcare, education, environment, and wages.”
Indivisible East Tennessee has more than 350 active members in the second district and is part of a national organization working “to fuel a progressive grassroots network of local groups to resist the Trump Agenda.”
“I am very pleased to receive this endorsement. It reflects our efforts to build a local, grassroots campaign and to address issues important to people in the second district. I look forward to working with Indivisible East Tennessee volunteers to win the August 2nd primary and then build on that momentum for a win in November,” commented Renee Hoyos.
Hoyos is running in the Democratic primary for the U.S. House of Representatives seat in Tennessee’s Second Congressional District.
