(Knoxville, TN) Renee Hoyos, Democratic candidate for U.S. House of Representatives for Tennessee’s Second Congressional District, has been endorsed by Women’s March of Tennessee – Power Together.
In announcing the endorsement, the group noted, “Our grassroots base has excitement, momentum, and hope, and we are committed to marshalling the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change.”
Women’s March is a women-led movement providing intersectional education on a diverse range of issues and creating entry points for new grassroots activists & organizers to engage in their local communities through trainings, outreach programs and events.
This endorsement comes two weeks after Hoyos was endorsed by Indivisible East Tennessee.
“I am proud to have this endorsement. The Knoxville News Sentinel reported that more than 14,000 people joined the Women’s March here in January. I’m proud to have their support and the opportunity to be their voice in Congress,” stated Hoyos.
Hoyos is running in the Democratic primary for the U.S. House of Representatives seat in Tennessee’s Second Congressional District.
